Visiting Frkanj Beach on Island Rab

I am catching up with my travel stories from the island Rab. This time it’s about the enchanting beach Frkanj, located on the same-named peninsula. It was actually a windy morning when I decided to go for a drive and explore this island. Rab is known for it’s beaches with lots of shade and protection from the sun. Frkanj did not disappoint. This is not really a classic beach. Along the shoreline you can find many spots where you can access the sea. It’s not a long stretch of beach. Of course it makes it a bit challenging to be there, but it also means that you can find your own personal spot with lots of privacy. There is a nudist portion of the beach nearby, but I stayed in the regular section. The pine trees cover most of the beach, so when the sun and sea become too much, you can walk a few steps inside the woods, lay your beach towel down and take a nap, read a book or listen to some music while enjoying the views and shade. I hope you will enjoy these summertime images as we slowly but surely head into the autumn season.
