Summer Day on the Beach

When summer is inviting as it is here in South Europe, the you are obliged to go for a swim in the sea once in a while. Croatia has some wonderful places along the Adriatic Coastline, that offer themselves up for a visit. I visited the small town Podstrana in Croatia. It’s really just some houses, hotels and private accommodations dotted along the Adriatic Sea, but all in all the natural beaches there can’t be beat.

SUMMER BEACHES

What I love about this little town is that the beaches aren’t that crowded. Croatia in summer can get pretty busy and full of people, which for me personally kills the enjoyment of travel. The beaches here are clean and mostly reserved for the people who have accommodation here, so you don’t get any of the daily visitors or other interested swimmers. You can find restaurants and bars along the beaches here which is very convenient.

RESTING ON THE BEACH

We booked our stay in a small private apartment. The house was located just on the beach, so all you had to do is step outside and enjoy the sea. We had a lovely terrace from which I could overlook the sea and take images. Of course it was also the perfect spot to read a book and have dinner.

This is more of a introduction post to my main travel destination of this stay. I am still editing those images that i took with my dslr (we visited an old historic town nearby). The images in this post were taken with my smart phone camera. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed these glimpses of a summer day on the beach
